Nelsons Homeopathy
Ernst Louis Armbrecht, a young pharmacist and disciple of Samuel Hahnemann, came to London to publicise his knowledge of homeopathy. In 1860 he founded Nelsons and was succeeded by his son, Ernest Louis Nelson Armbrecht.
Since then, Nelsons has been supplying homeopathic medicines prepared in the Hahnemannian tradition. Our wish today is the same as 165 years ago: to make homeopathy accessible and to provide the highest standards of medicine and advice.

Stimulate the body’s nature healing processes to relieve symptoms.
Homeopathy originates from the Greek words homeo, meaning similar, and pathos, meaning suffering. The basic principle of homeopathy was recognised by Hippocrates as early as the fifth century. Over 200 years ago, Samuel Hahnemann, a German doctor and chemist, worked with this principle and is credited for developing a comprehensive system of complementary medicine, which is known as homeopathy.
Homeopathy is based on the Law of Similars where something in large doses, produces a set of symptoms, but in small doses helps to alleviate those symptoms ''let like be cured by like''. These homeopathic remedies stimulate the body’s nature healing processes to relieve symptoms, helping a return to good health.
Today, homeopathy is widely used across the world from the UK to India and Mexico.
Homeopathy can be used as part of an integrated approach to healthcare, with complementary and conventional medicine working together to provide the best solution for individuals.*
*Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any prescribed or self-purchased medicines before using any complementary medicines.

natural medicine and advice.
An express homeopathic consultations can support you when symptoms have presented themselves for less than 5 days e.g. physical injury, cough, colds, mild allergic reactions.
Bach™ Flower Remedy consultations are ideal for emotional support needs from sleep deprivation, to mood elevation and assisting in the management of anxiety and stress.
The idea behind Bach™ Original Flower Remedies is similar to homeopathy, but not the same. It uses fewer materials and doesn’t work directly on physical symptoms, but instead on the emotions.
Bach™ Original Flower Remedies contain small amounts of natural substances like plants and minerals - active flower ingredients - transferred from the living flower to the water during the process of making the mother tinctures.
Since the creation of these remedies these flower energies have had a positive impact on people.
The idea being that when the mind is happy and at peace, the body is able to better heal itself.
Bach™ Original Flower Remedies are a safe and natural method of healing as they work to gently restore the balance between the mind and body. They gently soothe negative emotions that disrupt the body’s equilibrium as a whole.
Bach™ Original Flower Remedies contain 27% grape-based brandy as a preservative and some alcohol-free versions use glycerine made from sunflowers instead.
Bach™ Original Flower Remedies are hand produced in the UK.
As the tinctures do not include any large amounts of material from the plants, they are not likely to cause side effects.
However, the Bach™ Original Flower Remedies do contain brandy, so a person taking disulfiram (Antabuse) for alcohol use disorder should avoid them.
People who are pregnant or breastfeeding should also be advised they contain alcohol.
